Battery Show 2025: Exciting Trade Fair Days with Zebra Technologies
Last week, the Battery Show Europe 2025 took place once again in the exhibition halls of Stuttgart. The annual trade fair focuses on the latest innovations in battery and electric vehicle technology, and the electric vehicle market is currently advancing at a rapid pace. Remarkable technological innovations were at the forefront of the exhibition. One of these was presented at the Zebra Technologies booth in collaboration with ID Engineering.
“Those were exciting and thrilling days full of innovation, exchange, and technological enthusiasm!” summarizes ID employee Hendrik Hölscher after the exhibition days at the Battery Show Europe from June 3 to 5 in Stuttgart. Together with his colleague Michael Sartor, they demonstrated to interested trade visitors how industrial image processing (machine vision) can elevate quality assurance to the next level.
ID is a Partner of Zebra Technologies
The US-based provider of data capture and processing devices and software develops and distributes equipment such as barcode scanners, RFID readers, and components for the use of modern camera technology in industry. As an integrator, ID uses Zebra’s Aurora Vision Software for quality assurance in production facilities.
Everything revolved around the battery
At the Zebra booth, a state-of-the-art system attracted many curious glances. In close cooperation between Lohmann GmbH & Co. KG, which develops and produces tapes, films, and functional materials for battery cells, and Vulkan Technic GmbH, which specializes in plant engineering for the automated bonding of such tapes, ID took over the quality assurance part with the help of a robot.
The highlights at the booth included automated visual inspection of tapes on battery cells, three different evaluation methods in live operation, and image processing with Zebra’s powerful Aurora Vision Software. The ID employees explained the complex processes in detail to those interested.
“Our B2B business as an integrator of Zebra’s Aurora Vision Software benefits from this collaboration and the opportunities to connect with new customers at the Battery Show.” Hendrik Hölscher has already marked the date for next year in bold: June 9 to 11, 2026.
