After intensive months of acquiring the surface cleaning technology from Vulkan company, ID received its first order from an automotive manufacturer at the beginning of January. Together with ID partner bellanet GmbH, who supplies the suitable cleaning belts, ID is now commencing implementation in this new business area.

In just a few weeks, ID established the complete supply chain. This required intensive discussions with suppliers, technical coordination, and placing orders, as it was crucial to find quick and straightforward solutions for timely implementation.

Following the delivery of materials in early February, ID is already in the assembly phase of the entire production line. This involves setting up assembly stations, defining material and logistics routes, and planning testing and inspection stations. Every process is designed to ensure that subsequent production is efficient, transparent, and of the highest quality. Organization, coordination, and pragmatism are crucial in this project phase to ensure that the start of production runs as smoothly as possible.

At specially equipped assembly tables with customized fixtures, a cleaning device designed according to the specific requirements is created step by step. Some devices are still in the initial sub-assembly stages, while others are already taking visible shape. This is a process based on diligence and technical precision. Especially in this phase, clean workflows and maximum quality are essential to ensure the devices can withstand high cycle rates in industrial applications. To achieve this, they must operate robustly, durably, and with absolute reliability.

In mid-February, the control cabinet, including the HMI, arrived, manufactured by a partner from the ID network. In this phase, mechanics and electronics are coordinated. The electronic control gives the cleaning device its “intelligence.” Every connection and component has been thoroughly checked and installed. Utmost care is required to ensure the devices clean precisely and reliably in application.

The plan anticipates final delivery to the customer by the end of February. The production of customized surface cleaning devices for automotive manufacturers is just the beginning. New business areas are also opening up for ID in other industries, such as the furniture industry.
