ID voluntarily reports on the company’s sustainability status based on the so-called CSRD Directive, in accordance with EU requirements. This is a complex and demanding path. Today, an update on the current status.
Fully committed to sustainability
Even though it is complicated, ID continues its ambitious and committed path toward implementing the CSRD Directive. The company’s Sustainability Officer, Lea Gottschalk, shares insights into the current progress: “We have already met 67% of the CSRD regulations, including, for example, conducting the double materiality analysis and initiating a stakeholder dialogue.”
Data collection and reporting take time
When asked why overall progress has been slow over the past few months, she explains: “This is primarily because we are currently in two of the most time-consuming phases.”
Reason No. 1: Data collection
All currently available key figures have already been entered. However, since much of the data comes from environmental metrics, consumption figures, or social data collection and is constantly changing, some of it will only be fully available at the end of the year or early next year.
Reason No. 2: Preparation and drafting of the report
At the same time, the Sustainability Officer began writing the report content—and this is a particularly intensive phase. The report requires a detailed analysis and consideration of numerous CSRD requirements.
The current progress of the ID sustainability report is impressive
Despite the demanding tasks and the required precision, important milestones have been achieved. ID’s goal remains to produce a sustainability report by spring 2026 that provides transparency and creates real value for the company and all stakeholders.
