Apprenticeship as a Technical Product Designer – Specialisation in Machine and Plant Design (m/f/d)

Then the apprenticeship as a Technical Product Designer specialising in machine and plant design is perfect for you!

During your apprenticeship, you will use modern CAD software to create precise 3D models and technical drawings for machines and systems. You will work closely with engineers and designers, turn ideas into detailed designs and ensure compliance with technical, economic and environmental requirements.

From the initial concept through to completion of the technical documentation, you will support the entire development process and ensure that your designs are functional as well as material- and cost-efficient. Become an indispensable part of designing innovative machines and systems!

Your profile:

  • Technical interest and enthusiasm for mechanical engineering and plant design

  • Creativity and spatial awareness

  • A good understanding of mathematics and physics so that technical relationships are not a challenge for you

  • A careful and structured way of working, even with complex tasks

  • Ability to work in a team and enjoy collaborating with other departments

  • Confident use of computers; initial experience with CAD software is an advantage, but not a requirement

  • School-leaving certificate: secondary school certificate (Mittlere Reife) or (vocational) A-levels

Your tasks:

  • Creating CAD models and technical drawings for machines and plant assemblies

  • Designing assemblies and components according to technical specifications and individual requirements

  • Supporting the development process from idea through to production

  • Taking technical standards as well as material and manufacturing aspects into account

  • Collaborating with other specialist departments, such as assembly, electrical design and project management

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and bills of materials

  • Contributing to the optimisation and further development of existing machine concepts
