ID’s Apprentice Named Best Technical Product Designer in Euskirchen District

What an honor: ID employee Johann Berg is among the 11 best apprentices of the 2022/23 cohort in the Euskirchen district. He is also the only Technical Product Designer among the award winners who were honored by the Aachen Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) at a ceremony on Wednesday.

This means he completed his examination as a Technical Product Designer with a grade of 1, ‘Very Good’. No one else in the entire Euskirchen district achieved this in this field of training. Johann Berg and the entire staff of ID Engineering are proud of this achievement.

117 out of a total of 1517 apprentices in the entire district of the Aachen IHK completed their examination in winter 2022/2023 with a grade of ‘Very Good’. 11 of the top apprentices come from the Euskirchen district. The IHK honored them yesterday with a ceremony for their outstanding achievement at a historic location in the Eifel, Vogelsang IP.

“Only about eight percent of apprentices achieved the grade ‘Very Good’,” said Andreas Bauer, Vice President of the Aachen IHK, who ceremoniously presented the certificates.

Berg was welcomed at his workplace today with numerous congratulations from his ID colleagues and the management. The certificate will certainly receive a place of honor on his desk. He has not yet decided whether that will be at ID or in his home office.

Furthermore, there is also a further education scholarship from the ‘Foundation for the Promotion of Talented Vocational Education’: After their excellent graduation, the honored apprentices will be supported with up to 8,700 Euros for specialized and interdisciplinary further training.
