The 7- to 9-year-old footballers of the F-youth team of VFR Flamersheim recently had their eyes light up. ID employee Maike Krüger, whose son is also part of the team, had heard about a special appeal and reacted immediately.

A company in the Euskirchen district was sought that would be willing to sponsor T-shirts for the 20 boys and girls for warm-ups and entering the pitch. The dedicated coaching duo Jennifer Klünter and Christopher Schmitz asked the parents if they knew anyone. ID employee Maike Krüger took the idea to the company and simply inquired with the management. They didn’t hesitate and immediately agreed. When the shirts were ready and the kids were finally allowed to put them on, the joy was immense.

Whether during training or before games, the F-youth team will now sport a uniform look and proudly display their team spirit.
