New employees at ID in Engineering and Assembly

One is a familiar face at ID, having previously worked for the engineers “on loan,” while the other had moved frequently before returning to his home in the Eifel region. What they both have in common is that they deliberately chose ID Engineering as their employer and are now happy to be part of the team. Who are they? Let’s begin the introductions.

New hire in Engineering at ID

Andreas Eitle
is 33 years old and has been employed as an engineer at ID since September 2nd. During his childhood, the Geilenkirchen native had to move repeatedly due to his father’s profession, living in various federal states before deciding, as an adult, to return to his home region. He now lives in Flamersheim and has a short commute to his new employer, ID.

The trained industrial mechanic completed his apprenticeship at Deutsche Steinzeug in Witterschlick. Another position was at the Fritz Schmidt Metal Foundry in Meckenheim.

Working with machines has always fascinated the current engineer. Therefore, he further trained as a technician specializing in mechanical engineering at the Rheinische Akademie Köln and then chose the field of engineering design. At ID, he works in mechanical engineering design with Dennis Schmitz and is currently implementing design changes to a fine tube system to achieve the necessary CE conformity.

His answer to the question of what he does in his free time shows that he has turned his hobby into a profession. Answer: Even in his private life, his main interest lies in technical topics such as 3D printing.

New hire in Assembly at ID

René Hochgürtel is not really a new face at ID. The trained electrician has already worked for ID in previous positions. For example, he was seconded to ID by an industrial and building technology company in Euskirchen in the early 2000s. From 2014 to 2024, he gained “international experience” at the Bavarian Airbus plant in Manching (near Ingolstadt). However, his longing to return to his home in the Eifel remained. Since everything also aligned family-wise this year, he decided to apply to ID. It certainly helped that he already knew some colleagues and the timing was favorable. Thus, he was hired as an assembler on October 15th. In Marc Barth’s team (Head of Electrical Engineering), he is currently working on commissioning an internal pipe cleaning system. Privately, he enjoys traveling and is active as a tennis and badminton player.
