New ID Department “Industrial Image Processing” is complete
The team of the new ID department “Industrial Image Processing” led by Michael Sartor is now complete. A total of five specialized engineers explicitly focus on machine vision in special machine construction. Today, we introduce ID’s “Image Processing Team”.
At the end of last year, ID’s management appointed graduate electronics engineer Michael Sartor from Duisburg to lead the newly established Industrial Image Processing Department. As an independent software trainer and developer for image processing in special machine construction, Sartor had previously collaborated with ID and, among other things, conducted training sessions for employees. The mutual benefit was obvious, and to enable Sartor a flexible and family-friendly work atmosphere, the Duisburg location was retained.
With graduate electrical engineer, Tobias Groesdonk, ID gained an experienced project engineer for image processing. He previously worked for CanControls Aachen and L&_P Elektroautomatisation in Willich. He and his new colleagues particularly value the good working atmosphere and the diverse projects. Everyone is highly motivated. In addition to Michael Sartor (see photo, far left) and Tobias Groesdonk (2nd from left), these are:
Tilman Scheele (2nd from right): Project Engineer for Image Processing. In 2021, he completed his dual study program in Electrical and Information Engineering at Siemens in Düsseldorf, where he already had his first contact with image processing. During his subsequent master’s studies in Aachen, he worked as a working student for software development in the image processing department at ISRA VISION PARSYTEC in Aachen. At the end of 2022, ID brought him into the team of the new IP department. In parallel, Scheele is currently studying for a master’s degree in “Cyber Physical Systems” in Duisburg.
Mechatronics engineer Jennifer Krings (right) joined ID through an internship semester, where she has been permanently employed since October 2019. In 2021, she began to focus on machine vision, inspired by a training course from Michael Sorter on camera technology with FabImage. When Sartor was hired by ID at the end of last year, she transferred to his department and now occupies the “outpost” in Euskirchen.
The team is completed by Julian Weber (center), a mechanical engineer for mechatronics since 2022 (master’s degree at the University of Duisburg-Essen). Combined with his experience as an independent small business owner providing repair services for smartphones and laptops, he lives his childhood dream: a mechanical engineer specializing in state-of-the-art image processing electronics.
Additionally, the ID department has been administratively supported by Melanie Sartor for a few days now.
This positions ID Engineering well to increasingly establish industrial image processing as an independent service within the company’s portfolio.
