NRW-Talente – The Student Scholarship for Your Region

ID participates in a scholarship program for NRW talents in the region with financial support and will organize a taster day at the company next year. Students from the Aachen, Düren, Heinsberg, and Euskirchen regions receive practical opportunities and various forms of talent development.

When ID founder Michael Gottschalk heard about this special NRW-Talente program for children and young people from the region, it was immediately clear to him: he wanted to support it. After a meeting with the contacts from RWTH and FH Aachen, who run the program, the commitment became more concrete, and a financial contribution was initially agreed upon. But it doesn’t stop there. In 2025, ID will also organize a concrete taster opportunity at the company.

In the scholarship program for the Aachen city region and the districts of Düren, Heinsberg, and Euskirchen, children and young people from households without academic experience and from all school types from the eighth grade onwards are supported with practical opportunities, regular personal counseling, and individual talent development.

Carried out by FH Aachen and RWTH Aachen and primarily financed by the Ministry of School and Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the scholarship recipients can broaden their horizons in workshops, seminars, cultural events, and exciting excursions. Applications could be submitted either by oneself (until 2024-09-15) or candidates were nominated.

From excursions to the Aachen Observatory, a visit to the NS Documentation Center Cologne, bouldering and team building, to workshops on social media and mental health or 3D printing, the range of offers is diverse. Next year, ID will also contribute a program item.

There are so many students who are eager to learn new things but do not get the opportunity to do so. ID also wants to give these young people a chance and is therefore inviting around 15 scholarship recipients to its company headquarters in Euskirchen next year during the Easter holidays, where they can get a taste of various areas and view current special machine construction projects live on site in the assembly hall.
