NRW talents get a taste of practical experience at ID Engineering

During the Easter vacations, seven participating students from the NRW-Talente program gained practical experience at ID. The young people come from households without academic experience and are supported in the scholarship program of the Aachen city region and the districts of Düren, Heinsberg and Euskirchen. ID is one of the companies that support the program. For one day, the interested girls and boys were given an insight into the working world of the engineering specialists.

First, the young people were personally welcomed by Managing Director Tobias Butscheid in the meeting room of the Euskirchen headquarters. After a brief company presentation on the digital screen, Butscheid discussed the possible training professions and career opportunities at ID.

Even more exciting was the subsequent excursion through the offices and assembly hall with integrated robotics laboratory, where the young people gained insights into the three specialist areas of electrical engineering and automation, industrial image processing and mechanical engineering and mechanical design.

The curiosity was great and the students did not hold back with their questions. The ID employees answered every question patiently and in detail and were pleased about the enthusiasm of the young people. Packed with information and suggestions, they can look to the future with the knowledge that exciting training opportunities await them in the region. Who knows, maybe one day an application from one of the scholarship holders will flutter into ID’s house.
