Recap of the Euskirchen 2025 Apprenticeship Fair
On March 13, an apprenticeship fair took place in Euskirchen with the participation of ID. The region demonstrated how many hidden champions are based here, including companies that operate globally but are often unknown. For young people shortly before graduating from school, this was an opportunity to learn about the numerous apprenticeship opportunities in the region.
Many students are not fully aware of the importance of an apprenticeship in the Eifel region. It is all the more important that companies like ID present themselves at an apprenticeship fair. The event offered young people the chance to introduce themselves to companies from various sectors and to learn about apprenticeship opportunities.

What better way than to speak directly with the responsible persons on site and ask questions? This is exactly what they did at the ID information booth, where Managing Director Tobias Butscheid and Training Manager René Dederichs explained to each individual what an engineering specialist does and what apprenticeship opportunities they have at ID, for example, in mechanical design, robotics, or industrial image processing. One student even brought his complete application documents and handed them directly to the ID Managing Director. “That’s exactly how it works best,” Butscheid said, pleased with the initiative. “These are the kind of committed young people I like most.”
