On December 3, the Sustainable Companies Alliance was founded at the Sustainable Economy Idea Factory in Euskirchen – and ID is part of this new network. The agenda for the goals and projects in the region has now been established.

Important milestone for entrepreneurship in the region
A new network for responsible entrepreneurship is emerging in the Euskirchen district. With the “Sustainable Companies Alliance,” the structural and economic development department of the Euskirchen district is bringing together businesses that want to actively help shape the ecological, social, and economic transformation.
District Administrator Markus Ramers emphasized the importance of the initiative at the Euskirchen Idea Factory: “For me, transformation means keeping our location competitive and livable in the long term. This alliance is an important milestone for exactly that: companies joining forces to actively shape the future – not sometime, but now.”.
The alliance relies on a partnership at eye level: shared values, regular exchange, and mutual support form the core. The focus is on topics such as innovation, digitalization, securing skilled labor, energy and resource efficiency, and social responsibility.
“Our goal is to have at least 100 companies in the district by 2026 that clearly demonstrate their sustainable orientation to the outside world and are thus also perceived as attractive employers,” explained Iris Poth, Head of Structural and Economic Development.
ID Engineering is a founding member
34 companies, including ID Engineering, joined as founding members. At the founding ceremony itself, six further membership applications were already signed. The event impressively demonstrated how great and how strong the collective will to actively shape the future is in the region.
