“We bring your vision to value” – ID at VISION 2024 starting today with its own exhibition stand in the new corporate design
Starting today, for three days, we will demonstrate at our exhibition stand D16 in Hall 10 of VISION 2024 in Stuttgart, using live applications, how exciting and important industrial image processing and deep learning are in the automation transformation process. A special highlight is our freshly designed exhibition stand in the new corporate design.
The ID team has been looking forward to this day: being present for the first time as an exhibitor at the VISION trade fair, and that, moreover, in the new company design. The VISION 2024 in Stuttgart is the autumn highlight.
What Trade Visitors Can Expect at the ID Stand
In quality assurance, ID relies on modern technologies from industrial image processing with trained deep learning algorithms to not only detect errors but also classify them precisely.
The engineers demonstrate how this works at the exhibition stand: With a 4K line scan camera and a scanning speed of up to 50 meters per minute, high-tech textile belts can be precisely inspected for defects. Through special lighting at a 15-degree angle, even the smallest defects can be detected, which are barely visible to the naked human eye. The deep learning system efficiently finds and classifies these within 50 milliseconds.
Particular emphasis is placed on the simple operation of the deep learning program. The customer receives full access to the system so that they can implement future extensions independently and flexibly. Upon request, ID will continue to support this process.
Best Practice Examples for the Application of Machine Vision
The quality of training data is most important for a successfully operating AI system (Deep Learning). Until now, this required sufficient example data, i.e., corresponding error data. This is a very complex process that is simply not feasible if production has not yet started. Therefore, ID is taking a new approach with the company Artifical Pixels, where synthetic data for error images are generated, with which the Deep Learning system can train even before the actual start of production. Thus, quality checks are already carried out in the virtual phase to test the parts and functions. With this, ID has even made it to the finals of the Photoneo Awards 2024.
