Change in Management at ID Engineering

Effective July 1st, Tobias Butscheid, who has been with ID Engineering since 2015 and is responsible for Technical Sales, joined the Management Board. He takes over the position from Christoph Werner, who previously served as Managing Director at the company for 10 years.

Christoph Werner was employed at ID – Ingenieure & Dienstleistungen GmbH for more than 22 years. Even during his studies to become a graduate engineer, the Euskirchen native supported his friend, the founder and owner of the company, Michael Gottschalk, as a temporary assistant. The company grew, and in 2013, Werner took over the position of Managing Director, while Gottschalk remained the managing partner.

After 10 years in this position, Werner moved to the management board of NE.W Nordeifel.Werkstätten gGmbH in July, where he is primarily responsible for human resources and technology. The decision was made after careful consideration and collegial consultation, ultimately as a logical consequence. “I wanted to place my fundamental social commitment in a professional context,” said Werner, a married father of two, who volunteers as a member of the St. Martin church council, chairman of the Eifelverein local group, and chairman of the school board at Marienschule.

Tobias Butscheid, Master of Engineering, Technical Management and a trained industrial mechanic, has been with ID Engineering for eight years. He worked closely with the management board from the beginning, supported Werner with leadership tasks, took over Technical Sales, and developed the strategic direction of the company with Michael Gottschalk. Since July 1st, he has been part of the management board and is responsible for Technical Sales and project planning. He remains in contact and friendly association with Christoph Werner.
