Together, ID Engineering and bellanet GmbH presented a cleaning device for automatic component cleaning with suitable cleaning belts to an international professional audience at Paint Expo 2026 in Karlsruhe. The exhibition booth was well-attended, and many visitors curiously examined the capabilities of the ID cleaning device.

The world’s leading trade fair for industrial coating technology takes place every two years. This year, more than 10,000 visitors from 68 countries came to Karlsruhe from April 14 to 17. For ID, it was a premiere as an exhibitor. The reason was the presentation of a cleaning device for industrial surfaces, which ID has been offering since the beginning of the year and presented at the fair together with bellanet.

At the booth, ID sales representative Hendrik Hölscher, together with bellanet business partner Luis Alvarez, demonstrated the optical inspection of the surfaces to be cleaned and the subsequent precise cleaning. This process is used for painted surfaces in the automotive industry as well as in other industrial sectors, such as white goods. The diverse application possibilities, such as reaching various surface inclinations and depths or cleaning different surface materials with the appropriate cleaning belt, were clearly demonstrated on-site.

Hölscher and Alvarez held detailed discussions with interested visitors. Specific questions, such as the targeted removal of powder coatings before baking to reduce masking processes, were explained and answered. Especially customers from the painting sector are aware that only clean surfaces can result in a high-quality product. ID and bellanet were able to show how this result can be achieved.

For ID, the first appearance as an exhibitor at PaintExpo was a complete success, as booth visitors were interested not only in the cleaning technology but also in the automation solutions and vision applications that ID offers in its portfolio.
